เริ่มเรียนดนตรีที่โรงเรียนอัสสัมชัญบางรักกับ มาสเตอร์ วิชัย ยงวานิชจิต และ เมื่อเข้าเรียนต่อที่ มหาวิทยาลัยดนตรี นิวอิงแลนด์ คอนเซอวาทอรี่ ในเมือง บอสตัน กับ อาจารย์ ริชาร์ด ซีบริง หัวหน้า กลุ่ม ฮอร์น ของวงบอสตัน พอพ ออเคสตร้า และ เจมสื ซัมเมอร์วิล หัวหน้า กลุ่ม ฮอร์น ของวงบอสตัน ซิมโฟนีออเคสตร้า
สุปรีติ เข้า ศึกษาต่อปริญญาโท ที่มหาวิทยาลัยเยล กับ วิลเลียม เพอวิส ของวงออฟิอุส แชมเบอร์ ออเคสตร้า ก่อนจบการศึกษาใด้เข้ารับตำแหน่งหัวหน่กลุ่มฮอร์นของวงเอเวอกรีนซิมโฟนีออเคสตร้าที่ประเทศใต้หวัน และ ในปีต่อมาเข้าเป็นหัวหน้ากลุ่มฮอร์นของวงฮ่องกงซิมโฟเนียต้าในปี 2002
อาจารย์ สุปรีติ มีโอกาสได้เล่นคอนเสิร์ตโซโลรีไซเทิ่ลให้กับมูลนิธิในสมเด็จพระพี่นางเธอเจ้าฟ้า
กัลยานิ วัฒนา กรมหลวง นราธิวาส ราช นครินทร์ และ กับวงดุริยางค์กรมศิลปากร ในเพลงคอนแชอร์โต้หมายเลข 4 ของโมสาร์ท และ กับวง ฮ่องกงซินโฟเนียต้า ในเพลง คอนแชอร์โต้หมายเลข 1 ของโมสาร์ท กว่า 7 ครั้ง และ เพลง คอนเสิร์ตพิส ของ แซงซอง ในคอนเสิร์ต แนะนำเครื่องดนตรีบราส อาจารย์ สุปรีติ รับตำแหน่งที่ปรึกษาทางด้าน การทดสอบเครื่องดนตรี และ ด้านวิชาการกับ เซวิเลียมิวสิค เผิ่อช่วยสนับสนุนและเผยแพร่การเล่นเคริ่องดนตรีบราสในประเทศไทย

Very much
thankful to his family who support his passion in music since his childhood,
Lertkiat is now one of the top musicians and teachers nowadays in Thailand
classical music society. He is working with great musicians and teachers as a
chair of brass department and music director of the philharmonic orchestra at
the Conservatory of Music, Rangsit University. Lertkiat is a principal trumpet
of Siam Philharmonic Orchestra and Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. He is also
sometime a guest player for Hong Kong Philharmonic, Malaysian National Symphony,
Hong Kong City Chamber, Hong Kong Soloist and various leading ensembles in this
region.
Lertkiat is a very active performer and teacher nowadays. Not only in Bangkok, but all around Thailand, he has also given masterclasses in Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Hong Kong. Since he has been back from Hong Kong in 2002, he has performed more than 10 recitals and countless concerts with numerous orchestras. He works a lot with young Thai musicians, to help them to be better musicians not only instrumentalists, because they will be Thailand’s future promises, like once Mr. Pontzious said “Nothing is more important to a nation than its young people. They are the future. They are the men and women who will discover the secrets of science and medicine. They are the artists who will create treasures beyond imagination. In the innocence and gentility of their hands, they hold the fragile promise of tomorrow.”
